Hey anime gurus. I need some help.

I'm trying to think of a very specific anime and I need help. It aired sometime between 2004 and 2007 on adult swim way back when. The only other clue I have I have is that the scene I remember is of a very cybernetic looking atrium, but dark, almost like hohenheims lair in FMA brotherhood but it was not brotherhood, and there was this partly naked individual who was throwing up blood and chunks and was very gross.. there might have been a chick getting skinned but that might be something else. Any ideas?
