So I had to do some sketches for art class. Any subject was allowed, so I drew reader’s left hand. I apologize for potato quality. I could scan this, but alas. I am a lazy bastard. Maybe once I finish drawing reader’s drones or one of her legs I’ll scan it all at once.
The gold wiring embedded in her skin is always heavily surrounded by scars from the procedures that put them there, decades of violence, and because they sometimes misfired early on, burning her own skin (It took about ten years for them to really get the design to a point where it wouldn’t shock her anymore). The wires eventually converge into one larger wire around her elbow, which then proceeds all the way to her spine (and power cells embedded in her there).
If you look at the tips of her index and pinky fingers, you can see the caps that can retract so she can fire her grappling wires. Nearly every inch of the mechanical fingers not dedicated to the electricity conductors and support are reserved for the coils of the super-strong, ultra-thin metallic wires.
As you can see, the gold wires wrap all the way down to the tips of her fingers of her human fingers. The electric wiring is especially thorough on her knuckles and proximal phalanges. This way, she can deliver a deadly shock with her fingertips or a punch.
