#but rhodey is so bad too. i blame the military#like he's so direct on the surface but he also just dances around so much. military repression imo#he paints a layer of humor on his honest thoughts (garotteing thanos. the funvee of course#so it's easy to read him as flippant but like he's nothing but honest
#and it does make it so stark when he sheds that and gets serious like when he talks to nebula about disability#and when he tries to talk serious with tony#and i think both of them dont really know how to handle it when rhodey gets serious like that#tony probably feels like he's being scolded lol
#anyway thats also why i think rhodey and natasha would make great friends#and i wish we saw them more together post aou#i think natasha has the same honest-but-indirect thing rhodey does and they'll just understand each other
^ bianx as always you get it. fascinated by the idea of more rhodey and natasha that's not something I'd thought of with their communication styles and understanding but there's something so interesting there
