#cybug constructicons

You vaguely outlined before in your world building for the cybugs that Praxian Enforcers are essentially the Soldier Ants of their colonies.

Because colony structures are fun to play with, would the Constructicons be your typical Worker Ants of the same colony?

This thought was brought to me by imagining the Constructicons wandering lost after their colony got destroyed only to find Three* Praxian Enforcers! What good luck! They’re saved!**

*One is fake and another is a child.

** Green saves them. I’m imagining Workers are flightless so she can just stick’em in an ant farm terrarium type thing

if we're using an analogy of prowl being an ant i imagine the constructicons would be more like... termites.

i can absolutely see something like that happening regardless though! however, Green wouldn't be able to keep them- shes got her hands plenty full already... luckily her neighbour Devon, who works in construction and demolition is willing to take them in.

i imagine they still keep coming back and sneaking into Greens house though. for a buncha flightless bugs they sure can get around.

Your Structies are adorable. I am grateful you included Scrapper as well, he is neglected and discarded too often by this fandom.

And you draw him and Hook and Scav so cute like. Would love to just see more of the six of them. They are giving me cuteness aggression hehe

they give me cuteness agression as well... but luckily for the structibugs, there's only a hard hat here today so they're safe. for now.

I like to imagine the Structibugs built a giant intricate network of hamster tunnels around the house to get around, and no matter how many times Devon tries to demolish it (like Devastator typically does), more just reappear the next day. There's tunnels in the kitchen, in the bathroom, going through the backyard, across doorways, etc. Devon is constantly hitting his head on them. They also constantly use these tunnels to sneak over to Prowl's house to visit!

extremely endeared by the idea of him taking the tunnels down but they keep rebuilding... menaces, the lot of them.

Loving the Structibugs! Do you think that they'll keep sneaking in because they see Prowl being maternal towards Bluestreak and slightly bigger than them, and think, "Hm, what a perfect Queen!" Looked up termite facts, and apparently, the King and Queen rule together and mate for life as the king fertilizes the eggs, so Scrapper could be King as the boss unless the Structies all share it. It would be perfect to match and explain the 2 sets of Triplets! They keep sneaking in to steal Prowl away to their nest, and Jazz keeps having to rescue him. Hm, what if they see Jazz as a possible king?

i think that cybugs have their own societal structures (e.g. seekers and whatever is going on with trines) but that's very fun to think about shfjfhdk,, they aren't Truly a 1-1 comparison with any real life species (praxians have also been compared to bees in the past i think. if not ive been thinking about that too lol)

ive been thinking of the structibugs as more like. a miniature colony of their own or a smaller group that intended to split off to make their own colony... scrapper is still very much the leader, and if anything, they see j+p (&b) as the leaders of a neighbouring colony/group of bugs.

also while im a constructiprowl enjoyer, thats pppprobably not in the cards for this au? however. saying that... i also think itd be funny if prowl just. keeps accidentally wooing other bugs without intending to.

(im assuming by two sets of triplets you're referring to the constructicons... ? personally i tend to lean towards the structies being unrelated "biologically" but i also think them being brothers is very fun! im curious as to which of them u think of as triplets :0...)

Cybug scavenger looks like a very tiny squirrel

he probably hoards things like one too. devon finds one of his kitchen drawers cant open one day and its because scav has just been piling random things he finds into it.

OBSESSED with devon loving his new bugs so much that he made a Bugsona (because thats what making it devastator shaped would imply, no?) themed enclosure for their enrichment and entertainment... i hope that sticks because thats so funny kfjfkfkf

Devastator is an enrichment terrarium/colony mound

i was thinking that devastator would just be the Human Guy (Devastator -> Devon) but this is also very funny to me.

wait you know how they have those like. hamster tubes.

these things. what if that but its just. in and around devastator. wait hang on im out of the house atm but i can do something. to show you my vision.

this but the arms and legs are also hollow and have tubes around them. you go into devons house and hes got like that 4ft tall metroplex except its devastator. and also For Bugs.

additionally what if they had a terrarium where it just looks like a tiny human city for them to wreak havoc in/build things in...!!

if you ever make your cybug Constructicons art into stickers... know I will buy them. Those little guys make me smile whenever I see them. I am so glad they are just themselves but small/bug sized... they are perfect.
