Regarding the city spraying for bugs, and the cybugs learning to seek shelter in humans homes...

IRL we already have people pushing to ban crap like that because of the environmental impact it has as well as the potential impact on people's health... Imagine the cybugs going viral after one or some of the humans took video of their sickly bugs to ask other cybugs caretakers what's wrong with their bug (because people do this irl anyway with their pets be it cat dog reptile or bug) and this sparks a whole azz viral campaign to make crackdowns on careless pesticide use. And it works

At least in some areas because you can never get everyone to cooperate 😒

Now Soundwave's babies are safer since that city/town doesn't spray anymore 🥺

And it probably also results in major spike in people converting their homes to be suitable for cybugs (think like how some people catify their homes but for cybugs instead)

Imagine 3am and there's a tink-tink-tink and then a jar shattering and you just KNOW, without even getting out of bed yet, that one of Soundwave's kids just knocked the jelly off the shelf

i dont think theres been any specific consensus on wht bug he'd be (other than generally "one of the types of bugs that have symbiotic relationships") but cicada is a fun contender!
