3. Dominique

This is one of my favorite moments of the cycle, and honestly it’s my favorite commercial of the week even though it’s crazier than a bag of cats. Dominique’s commercial was a hysterical disaster from start to finish. Even though she completely botched the script I have to give her credit for fully committing to faking her way through the lines. She brought an incredible energy to her performance and “BRAZILIA” is such an iconic moment. As technically awful as this was, I still thought it was better than the ones below and is by far the most memorable take of the week.

1. Katarzyna

Katarzyna was the clear choice for FCO this week simply because she was the most competent. Her Italian was pretty much flawless and her delivery flowed nicely. She connected with the camera much better than anyone else this week too. I do admit that her overall take was pretty flat/boring and I didn’t really find it to be all that memorable. She came off approachable and cute, but I needed a little more “oomph”. Still, she earned the top spot by giving a usable commercial and looking like a real model while doing so.

2. Fatima

Fatima’s movements at the beginning were so overdone to the point where it was bordering on Whitney fakery territory. Thankfully she toned things down as the take went on. I was also bugged by how much she looked off camera and her take might have been my number 1 choice if she had connected a bit better. She was one of the best at speaking Italian and I love the sound of her voice. Her delivery was solid and her radiant smile at the end was amazing as well.

4. Anya

Anya looked so lost in her commercial take. She seemed a bit overwhelmed by the set as well. She made a ton of mistakes while delivering her lines, but I appreciated how she just smiled though the flubs. I also thought she engaged well with the male model towards the end of her take. Anya looked stunning and approachable, but overall this was a hot honeyed wreck.

5. Whitney

I had hope when Whitney appeared on screen: I totally agreed with Tyra that the opening could’ve been from a real commercial. Unfortunately, Whitney’s performance rapidly plummeted off a cliff and exploded soon after, starting with that unnecessarily massive inhale before her first line. Sure, her Italian wasn’t awful, but the delivery of her lines was so disingenuous. She was constantly smiling and giggling in an extremely fake manner (the little “oh-ho-ho” where she startled the bartender makes me crack up every time). The last straw for me was that ghastly fake laugh and contrived movement after her last line. Whitney bombed this and deserved her bottom 2 placement.

6. Lauren

This was horrible from the first moment where Lauren plodded up to the camera like a pouty toddler. She was a giant ball of nerves from being to end, looking and sounding upset for the entire duration of her take. Her line delivery was so hesitant as well. The blinking grimace at the end was the cap on her performance. Lauren’s elimination made total sense. Her portfolio was so hit-or-miss and she was the weakest girl left. I personally would’ve cut her a couple weeks sooner than Top 6.
