#3 – Keith

I am shocked to be sitting here with Keith ending up so high on my Dream Cycle. Keith was just one of those models who did enough to survive, but never evolved. Even this shot isn’t more than I’ve seen in the past, Keith undoubtedly looks incredible with Tyra. His face is gorgeous, and the intensity captures my eyes, complimenting Tyra’s softness beautifully. We are getting to the shots in the week where Tyra is bordering on being out shone.

#10 – Denzel

Okay, so this proves that the beard wasn’t the only thing holding Denzel back. While last week he shone without it, here he just fades into the background. This shot looks like a model took a photo with her athlete boyfriend. Sure Denzel is hot, but there is nothing else there; nothing to make us look past Tyra.

#4 – Will

Why was Will shirtless? For any of the other male models I would get it, but Will…really? It isn’t that Will looks bad - as I think his body looks fine here - but Will has consistently struggled in those shoots, at least in the judge’s eyes. The issue is Will has tried to go more masculine, but I think Will would have been better going for a clean, modern and chic look. Of all the guys I think he is the only one who has the face that could actually sold the make-up successfully. Still, even this attempt at something outside his wheelhouse is somewhat successful. His face looks great, and he does draw you in with your eyes. It is a solid shot, but I just think Will could have excelled this week.

#2 – Lenox

I genuinely think this cycle had the biggest discrepancy between the top performing model, and the others. Lenox was robbed to the highest degree this cycle. This shot is beautiful as ever. Tyra is right next to her throwing shapes, but Lenox is showing simplicity is best. Her eyes are just powering through, with the slightly open mouth softening the shot. The only thing I’d change about it is crop it closer, as the slight glimpse of her arm seems odd to me.

#13 – Ben

I feel bad for Ben. He just looks uncomfortable in this photograph, rather than bad. I’m sure he was just cringing at whatever Tyra was doing next to him, but I don’t think that is a good enough excuse. Coming on to ANTM the models should expect to have to push through weird situations, and Ben failed at that. He needed to power through, and just go extreme and match Tyra, rather than pull an awkward face.

#1 – Mirjana

This is the only shot of the week where I genuinely believe the contestant has out shone Tyra. Mirjana’s face is utter perfection, and I adore the angle she chose. I also forgot how incredible she looked with sleek, long hair. While she worked the shorter cut, this works so much better for her. The lines are clean, and each feature shines: her eyebrows, eyes, lips and cheekbones. All are enhanced by the make-up, making this easily the strongest ad this week. As much as Mirjana annoyed me this cycle, she was one hell of a model. It really is tragic what happened after the show, as she could have done so much.

#5 – Kari

It is official. Tyra Banks hated Kari. There is literally nothing that would convince me otherwise. That fringe is possibly the only thing that could have made the hair worse. Ignoring that, as I try to do in every photo she takes, Kari’s face looks gorgeous: her hooded eyes, soft cheekbones and plump lips. If I had to make a change it would be to slightly close the lips, but this would have been an incredible ad sans hair.

#6 – Shei

This is a gorgeous photograph, ruined by sloppy styling. I want to love it, but then I notice how the lip stick is smudged, or that her mascara is clumpy, or finally that her slicked back hair looks awkward on the top. Shei’s face is gorgeous, and she proves that sometimes softer features can work. Face-on especially would allow us to purely appreciate the make-up, had it actually be applied correctly. I adore the almost quiet sadness in his eyes, and generally think this shot on Shei’s behalf is stronger than most.
