2. Jaslene

This is actually my favorite photo of the 3 this week. That doesn’t say much though. Jaslene looks really pretty, and suitable for Covergirl, but it’s a bit pedestrian for her. The reason I’ve placed her in the bottom 2 is that her commercial was a bit choppy. When she started speaking, it was a bit awkward. She finished well, with the Spanish, but it was still a bit of a weak moment for her. I’m not against her being called first, because this is my favorite shot, I just think Renee did a little better overall. Nonetheless, she definitely earned her place in the final runway.

3. Natasha

At this point, Natasha was easily the weakest girl left, and this photo should have gotten her eliminated. Natasha looks so uncomfortable and that smile looks like it hurts. It’s one of the weakest shots in her portfolio, and arguably, the weakest Covergirl ad ever produced by a top 3 finalist. The look in those eyes is just wrong. Her commercial, while semi-charming, was also the weakest of the 3. I’ll never really understand why she made it to the top 2 with this performance.

1. Renee

This has got to be one of the most overrated shots ever. I always see constant praise for it being the absolute best of the 3, but I disagree. Renee has the most commercial pose, with her cute head toss, but her smile looks really forced. Her eyes also have a bit of worry in them. She still looks really beautiful, but I also agree that she looks at least 10 years older than she was in this shot. The reason I have decided to place her first, is her commercial. Her commercial was by far the best of the 3. She looked so natural and effervescent. While I think Jaslene had the better shot, Renee had the better performance. She deserved a spot in the final runway.

1. Renee

I can put aside my genuine dislike for Renee and admit that she had the best overall performance this week and should’ve made it to the final fashion show. While I think that her CoverGirl shot is the best of the 3, it’s not that much better than Jaslene’s and I think fans massively overrate it. Renee does look a little too mature, plus the smile is too tight at the corners and I think that her head is tilted too far back. Still, I love the twinkle in her eyes and her neck extension. Renee definitely had the best commercial. She seemed so genuine and I felt like she had the most natural performance out of the girls, although I wish we had seen her talk about the make-up.

2. Jaslene

Jaslene got screwed up with some tacky styling for her beauty shot, but I still don’t really love it. I’m impressed that she pulled off such a commercial shot though. I’m not a fan of her hand up by her face, and while she looks fresh and youthful, this shot looks a little pedestrian to me. Jaslene’s commercial was weak until she started speaking Spanish which was a creative choice that I loved. She really brought out her personality at that point and finished strong.

3. Natasha

While I believe that Natasha deserved to make the Final 3, I have to admit that she should have been sent home here. She had the worst overall performance in both parts. Her beauty shot is one of her weakest shots. I don’t think her face has photographed particularly well, and she looks lost to me. Her commercial was lackluster as well. Her little pose at the the word “too” was cheesy and she didn’t know what to do at the end. I can’t say I was mad to see Natasha progress to the final runway since I really liked her, but I was definitely shocked that the judges put her through.

#1 – Renee

This is the only decent photo this week, and Renee overall would have been my pick for winner. Yet she was the one eliminated. I am so confused. This photo is gorgeous, Renee’s smile could light up a room, and her eyes are filled with life. I think this is a bit mature for Covergirl, but I kind of blame the short hair. Had she had long flowing hair then this photo could have been one of my favourite Covergirl photos of all time.

#3 – Natasha

Natasha looks so uncomfortable here. Her face hasn’t photographed that well, and her eyes are dead. Her smile doesn’t feel real, and this is just a bad shot. Normally the Covergirl shots are the strongest photoshoots of the season, but this is just a bad shot. There is nothing really redeeming about it, and I am surprised Natasha wasn’t eliminated this week.
