It's no secret that Bike Metro has rolled out their bike share program here in Los Angeles with multiple hubs across the city. We're not saying it's a perfect solution, but it's definitely a step in the right direction when it comes to promoting cycling in such a car-central city as LA. Meet Carlos. Bicycle start-up food courier turned legal messenger, he frequents Downtown Los Angeles & metal shows. From internationally touring with his band Fueled by Fire to his more recent efforts with Blade Killer. We asked Carlos what got him into cycling... "I've always been fascinated by bikes when I was a kid. I got into BMX in my teen years then started playing music. I purchased a single speed to save gas on my commute to work back when I was employed as a transport driver a few miles from where I lived. I went on weekend rides with friends & group night rides during the week. I just enjoyed the freedom, the clarity of mind, & fitness that came with riding a bike. Being on a bike is very natural to me, so I'm fortunate to be able to make a living by riding around the City of Angels."
