What magical/"fantasy" race do you feel most connected to? I'm going to guess dwarves... if so, why? :)
I think it’s because I like mountains, and stone halls, and old stonework, and feasting, and mead, and fashioning cunning and beautiful things, and the sound of the hammer and anvil, and of deep songs and secrets echoing unheard under brazier lit ceilings. I value honor and friendship above most things and, coming from a somewhat difficult life, I have associated with their toughness and stubbornness against all adversity:“Aulë made the dwarves strong to endure. Therefore they are stone-hard, stubborn, fast in friendship and in enmity, and they suffer toil and hunger and hurt of body more hardily than all other speaking peoples…”I am but a simple man and while I look in wonder at people who are obviously elves, hobbits, or of the race of Númenor, my dwarrow heart will always be pining for the mountains.Plus I’ve always been short and stocky and now that I have a beard, it just sort of fits. XD But thank you kind anon, for indulging my ramblings.
