My Battlestar Galactica hot takes that no one asked for:
These are all JUST MY OPINIONS don’t come for me.
1. Dee and Billy never should have broken up
2. Dee and Lee never should have been together
3. Sam was a more interesting character outside of his relationship with Kara
4. Tyrol never should have been a cylon. Tigh also never should have been a cylon.
5. Tyrol and Callie’s relationship could have been so cute and wonderful and destroying it for the sake of Tyrol’s cylon arc was handled very poorly. The way he treated her was out of character and completely unnecessary. Also the way he abandoned Nicky was out of character and unnecessary.
6. Gaeta had many valid points and if Lee or Kara had instigated the mutiny, they would have been let off a lot easier.
7. Tigh sending Gaeta to the Zephyr was very irresponsible. Gaeta needed to go immediately to sickbay or bed.
8. I love Hoshi but he was low key enabling Gaeta’s addiction.
9. Gaeta’s trauma was completely dismissed and ignored by most of the other characters. ESPECIALLY Adama and Roslyn. Gaeta was failed by every single authority figure on the Galactica.
10. The Tigh x 6 storyline was horrible in every way and did not need to happen.
11. The only 3 of the final 5 that actually made sense were Tory, Ellen, and Sam. Tyrol and Tigh being revealed as cylons actually did immense damage to their character development. (Especially the new caprica arc)
12. Dee deserved so much better. She was also failed by every single authority figure in the Galactica.
13. Lee’s lawyer arc was weird and I didn’t like it
