Madison reached out and brushed some damp hair back from his forehead. “I know.” She soothed. “But it’s just a nightmare. It can’t hurt you.” The real damage had already been done and now they were stuck remembering it for the rest of their lives. It was rare for the witch to be so nice towards anyone but when it came to Isaac she understood what he was going through. If it wasn’t him waking up with a terrible nightmare it was her and he was there for her when that happened as well. They had an understanding. They were both survivors. “No matter how real it feels...and I know it can feel pretty real...it isn’t. You’re here with me and you’re safe. You're stronger now and no one will ever hurt you again.”

Empty steak containers and raw meat blood everywhere was not something I wanted to come home to after a shitty day.” She rolled her eyes. “I get that you're hungry. Eat the whole damn freezer like I see that you did. Just clean up after yourself.” This was the first time ever that she didn’t have a maid - she didn’t want to be her own and she sure as hell wasn’t being anyone else’s. “When I told you that you could move in here temporarily the last thing I expected was to acquire a dog. Just because you turn into one doesn’t mean you have to act like one.”
