🧸 - On a scale of 1 - 10, how ‘soft’ is your OC? 1 being the edgiest of edges and 10 being a literal teddy bear that cries at everything? (Bonus questions, where on the scale would your OC place themselves, and where would they like to be on the scale?)

"Soft? Come on, do I look soft to you?" Easily he's like a 5.5, maybe a 6. Though inherently he's not very edgy, nor is he much of a crybaby either. Perfectly balanced on the scale. If he had to put himself on the scale, in all seriousness, he'd probably place himself as a 4, but he'd like to be a 7. He knows that it doesn't mean you're stronger if you hold it in, he really hates doing that but even so, he also finds it hard to talk about his problems and things like that. He's definitely cried about things a couple of times, especially during his recovery process.

🌋 - What’s your OCs temper like? Are they a slow boil, or an instant explosion?

Edwin

He's not a man known for his temper so much as he's known for his jokes and aloof nature. However, he is capable of reaching that point where he's so angry that it doesn't bubble up as frustrated chuckles, tense sighs and so forth. When Edwin gets mad it's like being in the eye of the storm. A strange quiet befalls him and he doesn't say anything for a long while. His lips clamp shut as his hands ball up into fists, once or twice. He's gauging how to handle the situation, but he's definitely not going to talk it out.

He wasn't raised that way.

By all means, he's going to raise hell. Whether it be in his room, in the training room, or somewhere else. Eddy steers clear of people, and he hopes that they stay out of his way too. The last thing he wants to do is hurt someone close to him. He has a punching bag or two stowed away for this exact reason!

Solaire

They don't really get mad but that's because they don't hold it in for too long. Solaire is expressive and up front about their feelings, and if they're mad they'll go on a mini-rant about it and talk it out until they feel better. If they don't have someone to talk it out to, they talk to their action figures of Hatsune Miku or other characters because they know in their hearts that "Miku would totally agree and be there for them". Solaire is pretty productive when they're mad too, often putting that energy to good use: like playing video games for hours on end until they feel better about whatever it was that made them mad... unless it was video games that made them mad.

Helios

The child of the sun gets mad just as any other person does. It's hard to tell when they're mad though because their default expression is always a smile. They hold themselves to be too disciplined to act out and throw a tantrum, as that doesn't do anything to solve the problem at hand. Instead they find a well lit area and meditate, in the quiet of their mind they search for the numerous results that await the end of the period. Once they're calmed and more rational, they approach the conflict with the means to solve them peacefully... unless that cannot be done.

Amphiptere

The proud knight is a bit of a child when it comes to getting angry. He's easy to upset and easier to rile up, especially if what you're doing to upset him invalidates his code of honor. Though, just like his descendant, he uses training as a method to calm down. With his polished sword in hand, he slashes at his training dummies until they're just bits of cotton and straw on the ground. When he calms down, he feels the need to either formally apologize to the person who threw him off guard like that or better himself for next time.

As any old man, he has a whole lot of pride. He isn't going to let it get in the way of his "Great Journey".

🎭 - Does your OC show different sides of themselves to different people?

Edwin

Well, yes of course.

He's always had a mask, even before his little "accident". It stems from growing up in the house that he grew up in and the people he surrounded himself with when he was growing up. He knew that there'd be some people who wouldn't care, and some people who would care. Amidst the army ranks, he noticed that it was with his brothers and sisters to whom he could really trust. He found that out when he accidentally let out a dark joke, they weren't laughing by the end of it.

They could see the pain in his eyes, the way that he seemed to soften up when he saw that they weren't laughing. They cared about him, to a degree at least, anyways. You didn't come into the army to be relieved of your trauma and make friends. In the end, it was because he was so different towards them that resulted in their demise. He let his guard down, he grew comfortable, and he didn't ever think that things could possibly go wrong.

In this verse in particular(Mortal Kombat/Black Dragon) I think that he'd also act differently towards Kano and the gang. Edwin doesn't want to have to go through what he did to get here and because of that he reverts back to his old ways and creates this new mask to protect himself. His silent and sarcastic facade is penetrated by some, accepted by others.
