I LITERALLY CANNOT BELIEVE JOE PERA WAS GARYS DAD IN FIONNA AND CAKE WHAT THE FUCCCKKKK

hello hello! im opening my comms up for the first time in a while. don't hesitate to shoot me a dm on here or through the ko-fi link! you can scroll through my art tag for more examples :D
everyone should get more like penny snapcube .. her attitude is infectious and i smile a little more whenever she does her wacky stuff
genuine art block advice i dont see people talk about enough (and im posting it to remind myself and others in the future .. lol) is analyzing the themes of a song or album into a concept, dissecting that concept and coming up with your own output based on interpretation
i think listening to music passively is very common for most artists who are inspired by a sound or a feeling they get from a genre, but i dont really see a lot of people talk about how much inspiration you can get from popular albums you already listen to. conceptualize a story or character on an album you genuinely enjoy listening to and thinking about. its so critical that when you think of your art as a 'just' skill, it hinders you from incorporating everything else under the umbrella. you aren't just a digital artist, you're an artist and that should never hold you back from trying out new ways to break back into what you love.
i think experimenting with art, playing with an inconsistent concept and always getting inspiration from the most random fucking places is the epitome of the practice. its meditative to just shut your brain off and throw whatever on the screen, so try it with something else too if you think your art sucks from art block. also obviously.. practice and take breaks. but i do think that in general, i'll always recommend jumping from different mediums to keep your art skills as diverse as possible.
