#Repost @karebear2795 with @repostapp. ・・・ @Regrann from @cyprusdogs - This is the area in which the Limassol pound dogs are kept. Essentially it's a junk yard, and with broken glass, piles of rubbish, tin cans, wire and so on littering the whole compound, it's a danger zone. Sadly this is the only area where the dogs can be off the leash and stretch their legs, whilst the volunteers stand guard in front of any dangerous materials to make sure the dogs don't get hurt. This pound is considerably smaller than the Nicosia pound, but is controlled by the municipality, meaning that they have very little power over what happens and how their dogs are treated. I'm trying to raise £500 for this pound to restore their kennel area and make it more pleasant and more comfortable for them, as they spend all day every day cramped in their, except from their 15 minute run on a Saturday morning when the volunteers are permitted to enter. There is nothing we can do to change these rules, but what we can do is help to improve the life that they have whilst in the pound.
