Nostalgia is something strange and strong. Pulls you into places you never knew you wanted to revisit. But here he is -- that same bar some kid been pinned to the walls of by arrows. Not here for the same purposes as he was that night, of course -- she definitely changed him then. Whoever he was, anyway. It didn’t matter.
And perhaps that nostalgia that’s pulled him in is too strange and strong today. The old man’s clearly gone loopy since he’s seeing her here. As much as he wants to excuse her appearance ( what’s it they say? there are at least seven people in the world identical to you? ) as coincidence, he can’t help but sit in the empty seat beside her at the bar.
“Hope ya don’t mind me grabbin’ this seat,” he greets, friendly as he always is. It’s nice that it’s not a facade...is it because he’s changed? Or because she so resembles her and he can’t bear to be crude?
