Kaito still wonders how he got Yuma and Haruto to drag him into that. Well, he wonders not…admittedly, Haruto’s golden eyes where rather cute when he begged (…). Anyway, they had the saved world and hope or something to celebrate, so they’d all gather at the Tsukumo household to throw pillows and stuff themselves with sweets or something. Kaito doesn’t like sweets. He doesn’t like parties, either. But…somehow, he ends on the couch next to Rio Kamishiro, and (unlike her brother) she was civil conversation. They just had Ryoga as common topic, so they start to badmouth him (to keep reputations, obviously), which somehow makes her gigle and Kaito’s mouthcorner tuck up a bit.Fair enough.
He goes silent for a while as said Ryoga approaches. He hears her asking if he’s okay or needs anything. Kaito winks at her and waits until Ryoga is in hearing distance before he smirks."Think I might need a hug."
