I just wanted to doodle a colored concept for Cyvern, but ended up doodling his pre-Predacon self as well as wrote some Allspark Almanac-style entries!

Obvious timeskip between these two entries- but yeah I imagine Cyvern joined the science division and did a lot of research into Project Safeguard and Project Aerialbot, and ended up modifying his frame to look somewhat close to a Predacon... yeah his alt mode is just a Wyvern, surprise surprise

And a little wink wink nudge nudge to Livewire aka @shrike-nest's oc~

I truly am too far gone at this point because my brother was showing me the Monster Hunter DLC and I spent the entire time hard-eyeballing the screen because one of the characters looked like this one Cypher fan design

Rained In (II)

Summary: Wyvern and Cypher share a lazy morning together

Author's Note: That letter really got to me (in a good way) so I wrote this. It's a spiritual sequel of sorts to my last Cyvern fic.

Through the pulled curtains, rain pattered against the bedroom window. Slivers of gloomy light criss-crossed the room, highlighting the curves in the blankets from the two bodies lying underneath them.

Cypher was hardly a sound sleeper. Between the bad dreams and the ever-wanting workload, he found it easier to avoid rest unless it was necessary. You could say he’d become close friends with his insomnia over the years. So even though it was still early morning, he was already awake, looking at the wall as he listened to raindrops break against the roof of his safehouse.

The blankets shifted behind him with an accompanying yawn, and creases appeared in the blue circles which formed the eyes of Cypher’s mask. (If he was awake, he needed to be wearing it. If it weren’t for the risk of suffocation while he slept, he’d likely never ever take it off). He felt the muscular arms wrapped around his chest tighten, and the soft pressure of another body increased against his back. A chuckle slipped from Cypher’s lips as he tried, unsuccessfully, to roll over.

That was another problem he had, if you wished to call it that; Cypher was currently trapped within the clutches of a fearsome dragon.

The dragon was presently trying to fight against the coming morning, burying his nose in the space where Cypher’s neck met his shoulder. A lazy smile stretched under the mask as Cypher placed a hand over one of the arms hugging him in place.

“Good morning.” Cypher’s voice sounded a little rougher than usual from lack of use. Wyvern grumbled something against his shoulder, prompting another amused huff. Cypher wondered if Wyvern was lucid enough yet to hear the rain for himself, to register how dreary a day had been given to them. It would certainly explain why Wyvern was so sluggish, but on the other hand, he usually did take his time whenever he woke up.

Cypher couldn’t see Wyvern’s face with them lying chest-to-back like this, but he felt him nuzzle at the hem where the mask’s material met soft skin. Cypher shivered from the sensation, and he thought he felt Wyvern smile against him. His blue lenses narrowed, but it failed to seem properly annoyed when his own smile had yet to dim. Cypher once again tried to wiggle his way to freedom, but Wyvern groaned and pulled himself flush against Cypher’s back, squeezing his arms around his stomach.

“Stay…” The groggy plea was accompanied by a soft kiss to Cypher’s shoulder, “...Please.”

“We can’t stay in bed all day.” Cypher reasoned, although it sounded too much like he was trying to convince himself of that. The drab grey weather only invited acting at their leisure, enjoying each other’s company for every moment they could savour.

Another kiss was placed on his skin, then another, lips ghosting a slow trail across Cypher’s shoulder. Wyvern’s grip loosened enough to take hold of Cypher’s hand underneath the covers.

“All mine.” Wyvern grinned. Much like Cypher’s argument, it sounded only half-sincere; A joke he was making to cover the true sentiment behind it. Wyvern was a fearsome dragon, and Cypher was his hoard - wanted, treasured, adored. Cypher had almost forgotten what it felt like to be craved until Wyvern strode into his life. Of course, one of them loved to fight, and one of them loved to rile the other up, but all of it had led to the same outcome…their intertwined hands, clasped beneath the warm blankets in a bedroom they’d spent the night together in.

The blue lenses shuttered slightly, and Cypher let his head tilt further into the pillow.

“I’m becoming just as bad as you.” He lamented as Wyvern made himself even more comfortable against him. Cypher didn’t have to look at him to feel his happiness at having ‘won’, but the final kiss placed on the back of Cypher’s head felt far more tender. The rain continued to fall against the window, constant and showing no sign of stopping anytime soon.

“Good.” Wyvern whispered, voice too fond to risk speaking any louder than that. Due to their close proximity, fortunately Cypher was able to catch it anyway. He refrained from calling Wyvern out on letting his overly cocky attitude slip (at least for now), and instead lifted their joined hands to his face, pressing the space where his mouth was underneath the mask to Wyvern’s knuckles. Wyvern rumbled in contentment, and Cypher supposed that another hour or two of listening to the rain fall wouldn’t be so bad, as long as he had Wyvern tangled under the covers with him.

Is it November 8th and I only just now finished Day 1 of Huevember? Yes.

Do I care? No.
