Chaos had ensued at the Granger-Weasley household the moment Oliver had arrived on his parent’s doorstep on Christmas Eve and Hugo being the naive idiot that he was, thinking that it held some sort of meaning. MAYBE he had missed him after all, maybe their relationship meant something but rather it was nothing of the sort. After he attempted to blackmail his parents about outing the story to Rita Skeeter, knowing that the publicity would surely ruin his mother’s campaign to run for Minister again, he couldn’t keep up with the events that happened afterwards. There was a lot of yelling, Hugo went numb, his ears ringing as he felt himself getting to that place he new he shouldn’t go to again. So without another word he slipped out the back door, with nothing but a sweater that hung loosely from his frame, attempting to focus on his breathing as he found himself wanting to go to see one person. He had spent all of his savings on the train ride, barely remembering most of it, mainly in a haze as he zombied through the snow and before he knew it he was at the doorsteps of a practical mansion. Hugo rose shaky knuckles up before rapping on the door, wrapping his arms around himself and sniffling slightly, nose runny from the cold. His head whipped up when the door opened, “Nate?” His eyes were red and raw, quite certain he looked like a hot mess but right now he craved nothing more than the warm embrace of his best mate.
