Tomorrow at USC, Natalie James and myself will be doing lectures for a USC MFA class. My talk will be about studio and personal work, film festivals, and speaking up. Big shoutout to Natalie for setting this up.
Brazey & D'Bruppy will finally premiere online next week on @jareddweiss' birthday, after 8 years of on/off production, broken hearts, and a year of treading the festival circuit.
The film stars Ben Crouse as the voice of D'Bruppy, features cinematography by Cameron McManus, puppetry by Henry Bonsu and Jared, and prop design by Megan Kallevig.
After the film premieres, behind-the-scenes posts will start to appear here in the Brazey feed, so watch soon if you don't want to be spoiled!

Brazey & D'Bruppy BTS - Part 4
The shot tracker I made after editing all of the film together in 2023, pre-animation. I prefer to do this on paper rather than having a bunch of web tabs and Google Sheets open. It's a bit old-school, but it lets me focus on just keeping the film on a screen, and all my reference off-screen.
If you looked at this and the final film side-by-side, this would essentially be as close as you would get to a proper storyboard for the film, since most of it was sequenced in the edit phase after the footage was shot.
