I don’t really see it like that? She never asked anyone to protect her, all she wants to do its find her friend and end whatever evil thing is going on and Carmilla promised to help her with that and she lied to her so she has a right to be upset

i absolutely think laura has the right to be upset--that's not what i'm saying at all. if you look at my liveblog posts from when i was watching the episode, during the episode i was torn because i saw where both of them were coming from, and felt they both did what they had to do.

but i do think that laura acted rashly and didn't think or really process what she saw, she just reacted on instinct. and i was convinced that upon reflecting about what happened, she'd at least start to see where carmilla was coming from. but instead she is coming to several false conclusions that, to me, feel OOC. and it's not like she doesn't have all the info, either--she has exactly as much info as we have, and yet the more she thinks about it, the more she's certain that carmilla's lying to her because she wants to and not because she feels like she has to, and that carmilla's gone back to being evil? she's been watching the footage and still refuses to acknowledge any signs that carmilla was being manipulated and triggered and forced to make an awful decision that she clearly didn't want to make?

like, i'm sorry, either laura is much less emotionally intelligent than i'd given her credit for, or her twitter account is currently being very ooc.

Why? Just because people don’t really know how to express how much they like a fic doesn’t mean that they shouldn’t express how much they /want/ it

because "more please" isn't feedback, it's a demand, and literally all it does is make me want to write less. and basically all the other writers i know feel the same way.

"more please" isn't a way of expressing that you liked something, it's a demand borne of a feeling of entitlement. if you have the time to say "more please" you have the time to say "i liked your story a lot! i hope you write more!" that's literally the difference.
