Disappointment. That was what he felt that he was. Saving someone didn’t warrant them putting aside every time he had let them down. This felt like another one of those situations. He couldn’t make it to them in time and now he had to deal with the fact that he just hadn’t been there. He hadn’t been able to be at their side like he wanted to be. It was fear that ruled him when he thought about it. Prospero had been scared. If everything that had happened at Hestia’s Cove told him anything, it was that the Dark One did not like when those whose souls were his chose to fight against him. Maybe Prospero should have kept fighting though. Then people like Alrik and Alessia wouldn’t feel like they were just alone. If he wasn’t a drunk, maybe things wouldn’t have even happened the way they did at Nornwatch.
Thinking about that wouldn’t change anything though. All he needed now was to know that they had survived and that they were okay. He guessed the latter was subjective. Nevertheless, that was what brought him to the Tower. He’d hoped he would run into Alessia there. Thankfully, he had. A sigh of relief had fell from his lips just from seeing a glimpse of her. After he blinked several times to make sure he wasn’t dreaming. There was a brief pause as he debated actually going up to her now, but the worst that could happen if he did was that she would tell him to leave. Still, he moved to walk towards her regardless. “Alessia?”
