Rawlins didn't particularly want to be here and somehow he'd been dragged into it regardless. Maybe he shouldn't have forgiven Ephraim so fast and then he wouldn't be in this mess. However, that seemed like the wrong decision every single time he thought about it. He couldn't leave his brother out here alone. Not that the man was alone really. He had some androids with him. That was besides the point though. The cambion half-wondered where the hell Narcissus was right now. Probably talking to himself in a mirror or something. Maybe they'd see each other after this, maybe they wouldn't. Twirling the sword within his hand, he looked across at Ephraim. "Don't hold back," was all he said as he charged at his brother.

Protecting the city seemed like the best case scenario for Cruz and, even if it wasn't, he probably wouldn't have complained about it. His natural setting was always to do as he was told no matter what. Complaining was for weak people and he was not going to classify himself as a weak person. The Eye had been there for him and his sister when he had needed it most and he was pretty sure that there was nothing he would not do for them. Talking to Ephraim was always an uphill battle though. Not that it was difficult to talk to the Overseer, but because he was a fucking giant. Who needed all that height? "I'm supposed to trust three vampires to have my back for this and none of them look like they've ever held a weapon in their lives." Okay, there was a slight complaint.

Rawlins felt like this wasn't his kind of party at all, but he was enjoying it. He couldn't really say he had any interest in parties though so that was just as surprising to him as it probably would be to anyone that knew him. A short chuckle left his mouth as he watched the animal show that was currently going on. There was one guy there that just kept on going and going and going. How many animals had that been so far? At some point, he had definitely lost count. He was here alone right now though. The cambion could only assume that Narcissus was talking to himself in a mirror somewhere and anyone that he considered a friend was...otherwise occupied. He was mostly concerned about Kayce or Andruil, but the thought didn't last long within his head. And the only reason that was the case was because he had noticed his brother nearby. "Ephraim." He spoke as he moved over towards the older man, eyes focused on the cowboy hat. Another chuckle left his mouth. "Looks like we ain't in Kansas anymore, huh?" Why weren't they still back in Louisiana?

The Senate was something he had never expected for the Eye. After the many years his family had been working with them, he assumed they would never actually do such a thing. Eoin had to accept it though. As long as they didn’t come after his coven, then he wouldn’t have to worry about anything. That didn’t mean he wasn’t frustrated about it all though. He always wondered how the rest of the Eye was dealing with the change. The person he was closest to within it was actually a Senator now though. Things were certainly very different. “Well, look who it is.” He dropped down from the bar and pulled out his headphones. “I was beginning to think you had no time for me anymore.”
