daphne ! a slytherin ice queen ! the eldest of two sisters , her parents were devoted to instilling two core beliefs into her : first , to always take care of her younger sister , and secondly , to never muddy up the family bloodline . growing up , daphne buried herself in novels and books of poetry , memorizing moving stanzas and reciting them at night . her mothers shrill voice echoed in her mind each time she’d have an abstract thought . eventually , daphne mastered the art of keeping her thoughts to herself and staying calm though storms .
sorted into slytherin , daphne made the most out of her years at hogwarts . bonding with her slytherin classmates and spending more time in the library than most of her dormmates realized . secrative and silent , daphne’s true opinions were often buried undernearth the expertly made facade she adorned . hiding parts of herself became second nature . and when she fell for a halfblood hufflepuff witch , she became eternally grateful for that . she wasn’t embarrased , but she had been afraid . afraid that word would get back to her parents of their perfect daughter becoming a disgrace . afraid that she would never get to see her sister unless it was in the halls of the school . a year hadn’t nearly been enough , but it was all they’d had before she’d called it off .
daphne had the ambition of being a wand maker after hogwarts , although the whole voldemort thing threw a wrench into any apprenticeships she could’ve gone into . she can’t remember what happened to her after they’d gathered in the great hall , only that she’d somehow subconciously apparated to twinrivers . ( or at least , that’s the only logical thing she could come up with ) despite her confusing and rough landing , she couldn’t find herself as anything other than grateful . grateful to be away from a life of obligation . grateful to be released from the vice grip of her families beliefs . as long as she didn’t think of her sister , all she could be was grateful .
from what part of the canon did you take your character from ?
i’ve gone ahead and taken ms . greengrass from the eve of the battle of hogwarts . being that she was in the same year of the golden trio , this would have made her a seventh year !

daphne is a cisfemale who responds to she / her pronouns . she is also a bi sexual / bi romantic person ! the halfblood hufflepuff was for sure susan bones a fem !

okay . . i have a lot of feelings about daphne and a LOT of other hp characters so i’m not going to get that started , but i would love for daphne to run into her slytherin classmates soon !
