The synthesist wears the eidolon like translucent, living armor.
It's nice to have ranks in handle animal.
I want to make it super clear that I love Pathfinder and the company that publishes it (Paizo). I genuinely think their system is the best iteration of D&D type RPGs (in fairness, I haven’t tried D&D 5th edition yet). A huge part of my loyalty comes from the fact that they freely and happily make all of their mechanics available online at the D20pfsrd. This website is a treasure. It is easy to navigate and has lots of useful stuff. I frequently use it to reference spells and items. Also, as a DM I often reference their pre-made NPCs. I enjoy writing NPCs, but I hate statting them out; it’s such a time sink, and there’s always the risk you won’t end up needing it. Now, I focus on the backstories and personality, and when I need to look up stats, just find a pre-made NPC of the appropriate class and level. Huge time saver.
I personally own several of the books and officially licensed accessories like miniatures. If you have the money and the inclination, I highly recommend their products. They are staffed by amazing people who are passionate about their work and their customers. That being said, I DM for a lot of people, and I appreciate that they can’t all afford to buy books. And personally, I refuse to pirate stuff. So Paizo is a godsend to me.
Kinda disappointed in d20pfsrd right now
So I've been looking over my copy of Advanced Class Guide, and I discovered that there were some archetypes in it that were not currently listed on d20pfsrd.com
Now, I know that sometimes mistakes are made, but given that the site has still not uploading things from previous official pathfinder works, such as the two missing kaiju, I can't help but express my disappointment in their ability to double and triple-check things.
"How many spells per day do I have?"
Our resident slowpoke player at 6th level in his 2nd campaign.
How I like to describe Int v Wis v Cha: Three men are sitting in the same bar. They all hear the barkeep tell the same story. The Intelligent man remembers the details and stores them for later retrieval (Knowledge checks). The Wise man realizes the moral of the story and sets out not to make the same mistakes as the people in the story (decision-making, will saves). The Charismatic man remembers the tones and the personal effects, saving the essence of the drama (bluff, diplomacy, perform).

Abandoned Arts Has A New Webstore!
Big news!
Abandoned Arts has a brand-new webstore on the equally-brand-new D20PFSRD Shop! While the Paizo forums (and the Paizo webstore) will always remain Abandoned Arts' "home base," the D20PFSRD store is significant in that a larger percentage of every purchase goes directly to the publisher!
Give the Shop a look and support your favorite publishers (like us!) with a purchase.
