So.... a week has gone by since I released my single “El Shaddai” & it has been fun!! I still remember waking up Saturday & seeing the charts & my song at number 88!! That was one of the greatest feeling in the world!! All that hard work actually showing!! But then later, to see it at number 7!! Oh wow!! I couldn’t believe it!! My song was in the top 10!! The hours & hours of putting that particular song together!! And finally after 10 years... I can say my song was in the charts!! Amongst the big names in gospel music!! And for this... I thank you!! I thank you who support & follow the journey!! I say thank you to you who share & post what I do!! I say thank you to those who message me about how music I have made has helped them in life & in situations!! I don’t take any of it for granted!! You guys all mean the world to me... & I don’t class you as a fan... you are fam!! You’re part of my family!! You impact & impart beauty in my life on a daily basis!! So after viewing the numbers I could see... I saw my new single was played 386 times in the first week on Spotify!! That’s unreal!! That means my song was played all up for 1.13 days if we really wanna get technical!! Haha But let’s get really technical... that 386 plays means I estimate to make an astounding $2.25 from those plays!! WOW!! I’m one who uses Spotify... I have nothing against it... But artists don't make anything significant from streaming unless they are streaming in the millions!! Can I just encourage everyone that if you support a local artist, buy their stuff. I know we live in an age of streaming & that’s convenient & easy. It only costs $2 to buy the song, but it means the world to the artist that invests so much time & finance into creating the music when people support it by purchasing their music.
