Happy Mardi Gras! I took this back in 2020, the last time I made the trek down to NOLA specifically for the celebration.

The the storm system that swept through Oklahoma last night and this morning is now marching east. The city scaled back events today because of it. Lots of marching clubs shortened their routes this morning, no bands in the parades, and no trucks after Rex, which rolled earlier than usual to get ahead of the gusts.

Storms interrupting life appears to be the new normal these days, as is severe weather that arrives in the middle of the night, which should be illegal. So should tornados that hit before April 15. Sigh.
