🔮 - puck & jon
“what a terrible fortune!“
the cards are scattered on the the grass– embossed in gold and reflecting the moon overhead, the light waxing and waning and fickle like puck’s moods. as a seelie he’s expected to at least make an attempt at benevolence to those who seek his advice. alas– he’s not on his best behavior. a little bit wicked. puck blames the boy’s expressive face. the fae is, at the very heart of him, a performer. and the way jon’s expressions shift with every terrible promise the future holds is enough to motivate puck at his game.
“the tower reversed. you doubt yourself, and so do those close to you. work harder to prove yourself.”
he flips another card– the edges of this one well-worn.
“the hanged man reversed. if you’re not careful– someone you love will needlessly sacrifice themselves for you.” puck’s eyes glitter in the dark, and he offers with his fingers on the next card. “would you like to go on?”
