Mourn Me (never ever say something like that, I will send you one, I can't resist it, so here you go <3)
Mourn Me: I’ll write a drabble about my character mourning your character’s death.
I don’t know if this exactly a mourn me, but it still hurts, so that has to be worth something.
Marlene took a deep breath, before she walked into the white room. She hated hospitals. They were always so clean and proper and just smelled so awfully sterile, as if only robots were in her, making sure nothing would get dirty.
It didn’t take her long, to spot the blonde girl. She was just were she always was, sitting or standing by her bed in that god awful hospital clothing with a worn jacket over it, so she wouldn’t get cold.
“Hello Alice”, Marlene greeted her softly as she close enough, so the other girl would be able to hear her, even though she would barely be able to recognize her. “How are you doing?” she asked her softly, a slight smile on her face as she sat down on the chair that was always there for anyone, who wanted to visit the Longbottoms.
Marlene had felt sick, when she had heard what had happened. They hadn’t been killed, which initally made her feel relieved, but when she had been told they had been tortured into insanity, she wasn’t quite sure if maybe having been killed wouldn’t have been a better ending for them. Marlene at least knew, she would rather be dead – because having to see Alice like this, alive, but on the other side not quite, was just as painful.
Alice didn’t reply to her question, she never did, and instead just looked at her with a strange, slightly confused expression on her face, playing with something that was in her hands.
“What do you have there, Aly?” Marlene asked her yet again and pointed at whatever she was holding, knowing what it was, before her friend showed her. A wrapper for some sweets, this time in yellow, apparently a lemony taste.
Alice looked down at the wrapper in her hands, before she stepped forward and held it out towards her, and Marlene took it, of course she did – she always did. “Thank you, sweetie. It’s very pretty”, she replied softly, thinking of the box at home that was equally filled with photos and candy wrappers.
