Evil Twinz | Evil Twin Glock | 1995

Ray Boogie and True Da Grynch are two rappers from NYC, members of the collective group Da Henchmen, that started as support acts in club venues for the likes of Doug E Fresh, King Sun, and most notably Frankie Cutlass, who put them in his big hip-hop hit ‘Puerto Rico’ (where they gave a shout out to Da Henchmen), and also in ‘Boriquas On Da Set’ along with Fat Joe and Doo Wop, both tracks off of his sophomore album ‘Politics And Bullshit’ from 1996. One year earlier Frankie Cutlass had produced their track ‘Evil Twin Glock’ which was released as a b-side for the Remedy Man (Know As The Shanow) 12″, on Priority Records.

Da Henchmen | Blame It | 1994

Tank, Murder One, Short Fuze, Big Jam, Garders, Brick, Mental Flex, Ray Boogie, and True Da Grynch (these 2 last ones featured on Frankie Cutlass' hip hop club hit 'Puerto Rico' as The Evil Twins) formed Da Henchmen, a collective group of different MC's hailing from all corners of NYC. They appeared around 1993, and released an extended EP called 'Beware: Lyricly Dangerous' and a 12-inch 'Watcha Gonna Do' in 1994, both on Ill Cyde Records, and both regarded as hugely desirable Indy Holy Grails for any avid hip hop collector.
