My workplace sponsored a lunch for my department. This was catering service from a Vietnamese restaurant called Da Kao in the Terra Losa area.
Green onion cake: mehh - didn't have a lot of green onions in it.
Meat spring rolls: avg. Typical catering ones. Honestly, there aren't that many places that does wholesale spring rolls in Edm. They all taste the same.
Pork sausage: now this was a new thing for me. It's seasoned with lemongrass, fish sauce, probably cane sugar(?) .. & other seasonings lol & wrapped around a lemongrass stick. So good! This was my fav item.
I tried 2 diff banh mi's: the lemongrass beef & lemongrass chicken. I liked both. I'm glad they weren't that saucy. I always get the cold cut bcos the saucy ones make the bread soggy. This was surprisingly good bcos NOT soggy.
Fun fact: I later checked out their website. They are expensive! & more interestingly, their cold cut is more expensive than these lemongrass protein ones :O usually the cold cut is the cheapest option.
