Hira: So… does anyone have any healthy stress outlets?
Qwydion: Screaming
Lacklon: Murder
Roland: Vigilante cosplay
Miriam: Running away from my problems
Fairbanks: Ecoterrorism
Hira: Ok, so we have screaming…
Absolute power, corrupts absolutely.
i really love her design 😳
Hey What's Your Name - A Dragon Age Absolution Pride Edit
Miriam
dragon age Miriam with S/O that likes to smother her with love and pepper her face with kisses.
Aww! 🥹🩵
At first I’d imagine she might tense up at first to such contact because it may not be something she’s used to. Flushed cheeks, wide eyes, heart beating, it’s all too familiar and she wants to reciprocate, even if she feels hesitant
If this is after her fallout with Hira, it would take a while for her to reciprocate affections. Think Fenris and Hawke
But it becomes an acquired feeling to Miriam if you were to stay around longer
Your kisses make her feel valued, loved, safe. She can be protected and “at home” with you. Kisses start off quick but the more time you spend together, the longer you admire the blissed expressions of your lover and Miriam starts too in return.
Especially when you take as much valued time to remember every inch and likeness of her that you adore.
I am absolutely dead serious when I say that the most annoying part of Absolutions release have been Miriam stans.
Some of y'all are among the most self-righteous, insufferable, faux-justice crusaders I have EVER seen. Out here bitching about how she's 'representation' to be 'respected' like jfc do you think I WANT that kind of representation?!?
"Hey look another ambiguously brown woman with a tragic oppression centric backstory who uses her trauma to treat everyone around her like shit without getting called out on it! Yay!"
As if I haven't already spent decades being hounded and type-cast because of this media trash trope on repeat. But I guess I'm just blinded by my non-existent priviledge huh?
I can mark out no less than 3 times in Absolution where Miriams 'trauma response' was clearly written by someone who'd never actually been beaten bloody as a child and several more cases where her actions are glossed over just to make her not look like the asshole she was being at times.
And I was gonna ignore it and hope for better writing in a future season until a bunch of people decided to blanket platitude on 'behalf' of people like me as if they had any fucking right.
So TL:DR maybe before bitching about people not liking Miriam as 'representation' you actually run that take past the people she actually represents first because IMHO she was absolutely terrible and 1000% unwanted representation for my brown, queer, abuse survivor ass.
So maybe stop your circle-jerk and fucking LISTEN to ALL queer POC voices on the matter and realize nuance exists and the mileage may vary or better yet learn not to speak as if you are our monolithic 'representative' in the first place. 🤷🏽♀️
