da vinci interlude 2: da vinci has unchecked grief stemming from how her absolute genius left her feeling disconnected from her normal human emotions and having to stare down the ghosts of the “unimportant” normal people in her life has her shaken since she freely admits it was some of the happiest memories of her life but she can’t express it freely because the mona lisa must always smile and be beautiful. being such a genius meant that she would be immortalized in the throne of heroes but at the same time it meant she wouldnt be able to reconnect with the people in her life who were taken from her too soon in the afterlife and while she did manage to find some kindred spirits in other geniuses they were still no match for her own which meant that ultimately she was still alone. the last seconds of the interlude have her planning for her own replacement because she can see the lostbelts coming from a mile away and is determined to not abandon guda and mash when she knows they will need her the most now that romani is gone. she is not willing to leave these children without their parent
