Can we take a minute to talk about Dabo? I find this game totally baffling.

So it’s clearly based on Roulette. But there’s clearly some sort of actual skill element. Because we see that whenever a self described “gamer” tries their hand at it they find a way to break the game. (DS9: season one a civilization of gamers totally break the game. And in the Lower Decks episode where Boimler goes to Quark’s bar he also easily find a way to win more than he should.)

Now Quark is no fool. He knows gambling games are always rigged in favor of the house, but I don’t understand why he would keep a clearly flawed game going in his establishment?

It’s so confusing…

however people stopped caring after 2 days because Slayr isn't a white female.

oh yes I keep forgetting to make a post about it but if you like deep space 9 and/or you like hearing my opinions about things you may also enjoy dabo! a ds9 podcast in which my beloved spouse and I talk about everyone's favorite political star trek season set in the food court. it's been a blast to do so far and Han made a very fun theme and cover art <3
