A/N: Hey! Sorry it took a bit! Been busy. Uh this is probably a bit out of character for Thor and Loki, I’ve never really written with them before so I did what I could. This was really different for me and was a nice challenge. Thank you anon I hope you like it at least a little bit!
Being 500 years younger than your brothers was often difficult. It didn’t help that your mother had given you practically everything of hers. Her personality, her beauty, even her title in her passing. You did have your differences from her but apparently they still needed to treat you different than they did each other.
You were always much closer to your brother Loki, you didn’t often agree with him, but he was a great tutor in magic. He was also more caring towards you than anyone had ever see him be with anyone else, except maybe your mother.
Thor on the other hand, was like any other older brother. He loved you dearly, but you weren’t a priority. You were sort of an enigma to him, he wasn't sure how to act around you. However, over the years and your journeys with him in Misgard, his attitude towards you changed. By the time Thanos was defeated you thought he was going to smother you. He was so protective of you now.
He had good reason, you weren’t just the goddess of the sky, you were the goddess of love and you didn’t need to use your powers for someone to fall for you.
Your fan base was larger than his was, but sometimes he was too much.
Which was why when Peter asked you on a date you didn’t tell either of your brothers. You knew Peter liked you for you, so you didn’t want to chance Thor being mad or Loki possibly cursing Peter.
One date led to two, and a few dates led to several months. How you managed to keep it a secret so long was beyond you. You never really lied to them, you just kept some truths.
It didn’t bother you any, but it did bother Peter.
“Mr. Stark, can I talk to you about something,” Peter asked, sitting down beside the man at his desk in the lab.
“What’s up, Pete?” Tony asked, wondering why the boy looked so nervous.
“So, I think I have a problem… ya know how I’ve been seeing Y/N?”
Tony nodded, wondering what kind of problem the young man could be having with you. Did you force him into loving you with your powers? Did someone else put the moves on you and you went with it? A dozen questions floated around but Peter’s answer surprised him.
“Well, she hasn’t exactly told Thor or Loki… and I’m afraid if she waits any longer they might get really mad…”
“Did you try talking to her about it?”
Peter sighed, “Yeah, and she just gave me the it doesn’t matter it’s none of their business anyway lecture. I just don’t want to upset anyone, ya know? But I’m afraid if I tell them then Y/N will be mad at me.”
Tony pat Peter on the shoulder. “Kid, listen Thor likes you a lot, I doubt he’d have even the slightest problem with you dating his sister. She’s like 600 years old, she can make her own decisions. As for Loki well, just try to not make him mad about anything and you’re good as gold.”
Peter sighed, “Thanks, but that doesn’t really solve my problem.”
“Look, don’t let it be your problem. If it comes down to it, it was her decision to not tell them. She doesn’t want you to, that’s what you tell them if they do find out. They can take it up with her if they have a problem.”
Even after giving it some thought Peter was still unsure, “But what if that doesn’t work? What if they force us to not be together, what if she realizes they’re right and we shouldn’t be together? What if-”
“Woah, slow down Pete,” Tony said, placing a hand on the young man’s shoulder. “Relax a minute okay? You’re thinking too much about what if’s. The thing is, you don’t know what will happen, but you shouldn’t keep working yourself up with scenarios like that. It’s only going to make things worse. If you’re so stressed about it, you know I’d gladly drop the ball for you guys.”
Peter frowned at Tony. “What do you mean drop the ball for us?”
“Ya know, let it slip to Thor and Loki that you two are together. It’d be real easy, I could act like I didn’t know they didn’t know.”
“You want Y/N putting some kind of curse on you?” Peter asked, surprised by his suggestion.
Tony shrugged. “It won’t be as bad as you stressing yourself out like this.”
Peter nodded slowly. “I don’t think I can agree to something like this… but I suppose if you did happen to let it slip, no one would know that you did it on purpose…”
It was a few days later, Tony didn’t even need to set any of his plans into action. Things fell right into place when he caught Thor in passing. It was the perfect opportunity.
“Stark, have you seen my sister? There’s some business we need to discuss.” Thor asked.
Tony didn’t miss a beat as it panned out. “Her and Peter had a date tonight, she didn’t tell you?”
Thor stared Tony down. “What do you mean date?”
“A date. You know, like two people going out, having dinner or something, guy brings the girl home and kisses her goodnight. That kind of date. She really didn’t tell you?”
There was such fury in Thor’s eyes. “No. She did not tell me.”
Tony shrugged. “Maybe she told Loki and forgot to tell you?” He suggested, knowing exactly what would happen next.
“Perhaps. I must go speak with my brother.” Thor turned on his heel and went straight to find Loki.
“Loki!” Thor’s voice rumbled throughout the room.
Loki arched a brow at his brother. “What is it now?”
“How could you not tell me our sister was going on a date with Peter?”
He laughed lightly and answered, “Perhaps because I was unaware that Y/N was on a date with him?”
“Stop playing games. This isn’t funny.”
“I’m not playing anything,” Loki told him, a smile on his face, unable to believe that he was being this way. “She’s old enough to make her own decisions, Thor. She can see whoever she wants.”
“She can not.” Thor stated. “I will not allow our younger sister to date.”
“That’s not your decision to make,” Loki told him.
Their argument went on for an hour. When you and Peter finally returned to the compound you were beyond surprised to hear your brothers yelling at each other all the way from the front entrance.
“Uh, sounds like you better take care of whatever that is going on in there,” Peter suggested.
You sighed, “You’re right. I’ll find you later.” You kissed him gently, a smile on your face, one that made him smile as well. However, you noticed it didn’t quite reach his eyes, he looked rather worried. There was a loud crash, so you pushed your thoughts aside and ran off to find your brothers.
You found them in the living room, which was a total disaster.
“What is going on in here?” You yelled over them.
Both finally stopped shouting and offered you their attention.
“Well?” You asked.
“You should not be dating,” Thor started on you. “I won’t allow it.”
You could only stare at the two of them, surprised. You could let this go a few ways, but frankly it wouldn’t be worth trying to hide it any longer. “I don’t care what you will or won’t allow, Thor. I can date whoever I please.”
“That’s what I’ve been trying to tell him,” Loki cut in before Thor could counter. “Frankly, I think Peter’s a fine choice for you. He’s smart, funny-”
“Enough,” Thor cut it, throwing a lamp towards his brother. “I don’t care who it is. You aren’t dating. I can’t someone use you.”
“Use me?” You questioned. “No one is using me! Just because Jane is being weird with you oh great one, doesn’t mean that Peter, who I care deeply about, is going to use me. I know how he feels about me. Don’t forget part of my powers is being able to feel how others feel about each other.”
“What if he’s tricking you? This has nothing to do with Jane.”
You quirked an eyebrow at him. “You know, I didn’t tell you guys because I really thought Loki was going to be the one to be mad. But I think I’d prefer that over you being mad Thor. But I can see why you would be mad. Your little sister found her love before you were able to get yours back. You’re jealous. I’m done talking about this. Imagine how mother would feel if she knew you wanted to keep me from being with the one I love.”
That was finally able to get through to him. You hated using your mother as ammunition against either of them, but this was ridiculous. Thor finally lost his look of anger, instead he was looking at you like you were right.
“How come you were so easily able to get him to stop but it took me an hour and I failed?” Loki asked, casting a spell to replace everything in the living room to its rightful place and manner.
You shrugged.
“She did not-” Thor started but you and Loki cut him off.
“Yes she did,” Loki said just as you said, “Yes I did.”
“Well now that you both know, at least I don’t have to hide it anymore.” You mused. “I’ll be going now. Behave, both of you. Also, I better not hear from Peter that he was threatened or anything of the sort, understand?”
Thor rolled his eyes. “Fine.”
You turned to leave but a question posed in your mind. “How did you two find out anyway?”
Loki pointed to Thor as he answered. “Stark said something.”
You nodded and finally left and went straight to find Peter. You knocked before entering, he was waiting patiently for you so the two of you could watch a movie. You plopped down beside him.
“Everything alright?” He asked, wrapping an arm around you.
“Oh you know, they found out we were dating and Thor was beyond pissed about it. Wanted me to not be dating, but I put him in his place.”
“Thor was mad?” Peter asked, he really thought he wouldn’t be.
“Yes, and Loki well, he pretty much gave you his blessing.”
“R-really?”
You nodded. “Yup. Now, be honest with me, did you set Tony up to tell them?”
Panic rose in Peter’s eyes, he was thankful your back was against his chest. “N-no of course not. Why did Tony tell them? I have no clue why he would have.”
You released a soft chuckle. “You’re a terrible liar, love.”
Peter sighed. “Alright, I’m sorry… I just… I couldn’t take the secrets anymore…”
“I understand, it feels good having it off my chest.”
“Me too.”
You tilted your head back just right so you could kiss his cheek.
“Thanks for not being mad at me.”
“I love you, remember?”
“I love you, too.”
