Ninjago Permanent Baby Wu AU

(AU name is a work in progress)

As the title suggests, instead of the reverse blade effects fading, it remains permanent, causing Wu to fully revert to being a baby. I imagine it being a sort of Steven Universe situation where Wu grows up without ever regaining his memories or himself and becomes a whole new person with his powers and only some of his past experiences transferring over.

The ninja would be filled with hope, then despair when they realise, but would still do their best to take care of him. I doubt they'd make the same mistakes as the Crystal Gems, but they'd probably still have issues with comparing him to Sensei Wu. Maybe even worse than the gems, since this isn't a new being to them but rather a baby Wu who mostly acts like him. Also, ninjas never quit, so giving up and moving on would be tough. I believe Lloyd would have the hardest time letting go of the idea of bringing Wu back, while Cole would adjust and realise the fastest (Dad Cole, how I adore thee).

Cole: I think we need to abandon the idea of bringing back Sensei Wu

This AU was inspired by my past self's hope for perma baby Wu and Dad Cole adventures and my immense disappointment when it was revealed to be a season long 😞
