Full story 

“So are you sure you want to do this?” Jensen asked you as you stood with him, Jared and Misha back stage. “Yeah I’m fine honestly. I mean I would be better if James was here.” You said, Jensen’s eyes dropped to the floor with your words. “Yeah, can’t wait for him to come back!”  As if you had called for him your boyfriend stepped through the doors, making his way straight over to you, pressing his lips to the side of your head.  “Hi, sorry about that we were just making sure everything was safe out here. You’re good to go.”  “Super, Thank you James.” Jensen’s voice was laced with sarcasm. You glanced at him for a moment before James pulled you aside, wrapping his arms around you gently, your arm was in a sling to support the wound on your shoulder.  Jared walked up to Jensen and tapped his arm.  “Dude, I’m done with this man, what’s your problem?”  Jensen shook his head and took a sip from the cup in his hand.  “I don’t know man, I don’t (Y/N) to get hurt and I don’t trust him. Something about him just doesn’t sit right with me.”  “Are you sure that’s all this is?” Jared gave him a sideways glance and raised his eyebrows.  “What are you talk- no man, no. It’s not like that honestly I just….I love my wife all right I guess I just love her as well but in a different way you know. Not romantically…it can’t be can it?”  “You need to work it out dude. I won’t keep a secret like that.”  “Jar I would never hurt Dee that way you know I wouldn’t.”  “I know man, but you need sort your head out. If you are just super protective that’s cool but don’t start getting angry okay.”  “You should have heard him at the hospital, I know he is hiding something from her.”  “And we haven’t come on, all of us hide something’s right?”  They didn’t get to finish the conversation as the call for them to line up to go on stage came. Jensen was the first on followed by Jared and then Misha walked on with you, your arm wrapped around his. The crowd went into overdrive with their cheering when you walked on. You felt your eyes well up a bit but put it down to the pain killers you were on.  The panel went great, you were asked some awesome questions about your character and joked with the boys, It was brilliant right up until the point some asked the big question, the elephant in the room as it where.  “So we’ve seen the close friendship you guys have off set and on it. We were wondering if the chemistry that Jensen and (Y/N) seem to have on screen is going to become more cannon than fan fiction?”  “What are you asking?” Jensen narrowed his eyes on the fan comically though he really hadn’t understood.  “I think he means are Dean & (Y/C/N) going to do the Frick Frack!” Misha Laughed.  “Oh Good the important questions!” Jared clapped his hands together in a child like manner.  “Um well you guys know about as much as we do about it. The writers haven’t said either way to us yet.” You answered trying to be diplomatic.  “Well I was told that Dean does like her. He wouldn’t say no if she came on to him, but come guys Crowley’s sister?” Everyone fell about laughing. The questions were normal again for a while, a couple of Destiel ones and some about the kids. Then it was time for the last question. It was a lovely young girl about eighteen maybe. She stepped up and smiled her eyes looking straight at yours.  “Oh hi, um, sorry I’m a littler nervous. First I wanted to say thank you to (Y/N) We all know that you were hurt the other day and we really appreciate you being here today for us.”  “Oh thank you, that’s so nice of you. It’s my pleasure to be here, I wouldn’t have missed it for the world.” You smiled back at her. Jensen made out to be crying over dramatically, dropping his head to Jared’s shoulder. Jared joined.  “It’s just so lovely, I can’t take it!” 

“Shut up idiots!” You laughed. When the panel finished Misha helped you off the stage. You were really tired and decided you just wanted to go and lie down. You made J2 let the fans know that anyone who had paid for a signature would get one sent to them as soon as possible before James took you back to your room.  "I can't wait to just be back on set." You groaned sliding onto the bed carefully so not to jostle your wounds.  "Babe you were shot you can't just keep going." James laid down next to you. "I'm fine honestly."  "I'm think you should take some time off the show. Just a week or two." "Why are you so adamant about this?" You asked turning to face him.  "I'm just think you're working to hard. You should give yourself some time to heal." "James I'm a grown woman I know what I'm doing with my own body." "I'm know but-" "Drop it. Please."  *********  "Jay. Gen called the girls are all flying out to Vancouver next week." Jared said returning to the signing table after a short break.  "Awesome. I can't wait to see them. I've missed Dee so much."  "Have you?"  "Yes man, will you drop it?"  "All right, but you might want to curb your protectiveness a bit then." Jared extenuated the word protectiveness before turning his attention to the fan who stepped up to the table. It was a girl the same one who had asked a question during the panel.  "No (Y/N)?"  "Um no sorry she wasn't feeling to great. If you want a signature from her-" "No,no that's fine. I just wondered. So when do you guys get back on set?" "Monday. Filming the last two episodes of this season!" Jared answered happily. He loved the show but it had been a long haul and he was glad to be getting to the end of it. “Cool. So you’ll be no set for two more weeks?” “Yeah.” Jared looked up at the girl as she moved over to Jensen, her questioning continued but he couldn’t hear it. He turned his attention to the next person in front of him. Still he couldn’t drop the feeling that something wasn’t right with her. He called One of the convention staff over and asked him to keep an eye on the girl during the day, just encase. Then a thought occurred to him. At the end of the day he sat down with Misha in the green room.  “Okay so what’s up big man?” Misha put on his dad face.  “I don’t know but this girl today she asked a question at the panel and then asked some weird questions at the signing. It’s just similar to (Y/N).”  Misha looked down in thought for a moment.  “What are you trying to say Jarad?”  “I don’t know but how she came into our lives, the convention and now she’s part of the show. I know this gang started before she came along but what if she’s-”  “Do you think she could be? She’s so nice. No way (Y/N) could up a story like that all this time.”

Remember how in season 1 they barely knew anything about demons, let alone hunting them? One of them had to pin it down while the other read directly from their dad's journal. 

Then in three seasons time, they've memorized a few latin exorcism spells and decide to play it through the speakers on a loop, so all the demons were exorcised anyway

Now they know every single exorcism spell there is for a demon, they know how they'll react in situations, they've saved exorcisms onto portable devices

Sure, over the last nine seasons Sam and Dean have developed a lot on the topics of: hairstyles, women, and reputation to monsters. But most of all their hunting techniques have evolved so vastly they've become the two, most well-known, experienced hunters there are.
