I first encountered this song, 2 decades ago (back when I was in 2nd grade). I've literally stopped talking for 2 whole yrs prior in school; since I was shell-shocked transitioning from a co-ed preschool to an all-girls academy. "Dadaanin Ko Na Lang Sa Kanta" was part of a school play that I was cajoled to join in that particular year (1996). FORTUNATELY, I heeded. If it wasn't for this, I'd probably didn't realize that I CAN ACTUALLY SING. Kaya yes, maraming maraming salamat po Maestro Ryan Cayabyab for composing this lovely piece.
