little!bunny!hybrid!reader who randomly starts to circle around Leon once you feel safe with him and he just stands there, not knowing what to do or say as he has no idea what or why you’re doing it and just keeps still until you stop in front of him, looking at him with big eyes before you nod and skip off again with no explanation.
It becomes a habit for you. You even drag him away from whatever he’s doing towards the living room where the most space is, making him stand in the center of it before walking around him several times, your bunny tail twitching subtly.
One day you’re both settled on the couch, your head resting on Leon’s lap as you sleep while he gently rubs one of your ears with one hand, in the other he holds a book about rabbits to make some research on your behavior lately.
"A rabbit running in circles around a person’s feet is a sign of affection. This behavior is often seen when the rabbit greets someone entering the room, when it expects a treat, or when it’s feeling playful. In other words it means 'i love you'." He reads quietly to himself, blinking a few times as his hand stops rubbing your ear, registering what this actually means.
With this newfound information he decides to test it for himself the next day when you make your daily routine of circling around him and the moment you stop in front of him again he surprises you by repeating it, walking around you with a smile.
Your face flushes at that, your tail twitching as your ears pin up at his gesture.
"Didn’t expect that now, did you?" He teases once he stops, pulling you against his chest with a chuckle when you use your ears to cover your face and nuzzle against him.
