Little Rain helps Mountain make dinner!

Wrote this in 20 minutes with barely any editing.

Glad to be contributing fics to combat the lack of little ghoul content.

Rain was helping Mountain make dinner. Sort of. He was little, and Mountain didn’t want his disaster baby to be handling tools or hot pans. But Rain wanted to help really bad.

Rain looked up at Mountain excitedly with his innocent puppy-dog eyes.

Mountain gathered himself and looked around for something to keep Rain’s attention.

“Here. Rain.” Mountain handed Rain an onion. Rain took it into both hands gently. “I need you to watch over that for me.”

“Okay,” Rain said softly, looking at the onion.

Mountain turned his attention back to his cooking meal- well, some of his attention. Parenting Rain had turned him into an anxious helicopter mother.

Rain was pretty quiet for the next ten minutes. He hummed quietly to himself, swaying on his feet, but held onto the onion with great care and concern.

Eventually Mountain turned to Rain.

“Okay, bring that over here.”

Rain walked up to Mountain with the onion. Mountain made sure to hold him back from getting too close to the stove.

“I’m gonna add it to the sauce now.”

Rain looked down at his onion and held it up to Mountain.

Mountain took the onion gently from Rain and began peeling it over the counter.

“Thank you for helping Rainy,” Mountain said as genuinely as he could.

Rain was already proud of himself for helping, but Mountain being thankful for his help made him feel even better! He smiled and stimmed to himself.

Mountain began chopping the onion as he thought fondly of his baby’s perpetual puppy-dog eyes. That boy doesn’t even know what he does to Mountain. He’s too adorable for his own good.

No because imagine Mountain either leaning against the doorframe with his arms crossed… sleeves rolled

Mountain leaning against the doorframe but his arms are above his head, him holding onto the frame making his muscles visibly show… he knows what effect it has on everyone so he tightens and relaxes his muscles just to see them get all flustered

Edit: Is anyone else actively struggling after reading this because I am SWEATING
