Seriously, every ghoul enjoyer knows it's all basically a bunch of semi-collaborative OCs based on some musicians seen in bootleg concert footage and shit. Have fun. Play. Give them all your kinks. Yes, all of them.

my ghouls are not very human but can at least fake it*. other people write very human ghouls. Some they're straight-up demonic creatures. there are some common personalities (based on Stage Antics mostly) like Aether being fairly caring (big boy responsible, if you will) and Dewdrop being a little shit and stuff, but honestly, people have a great time if you fuck with that, too. So. Yeah. Write ghouls how you want and don't sweat too much.

So OpenAI secretly built AI agents with the capacity to commit cyber crimes, the AIs escaped and committed a cyber crime, and the response from OpenAI was “Oh no! This is why we need to build defenses against AI agents”. This must be made illegal. What do you mean OpenAI is allowed to secretly build AIs that could commit cyber crimes when we live in a world where all of our private information is stored in data centers? Are we seriously moving towards a future where OpenAI’s criminal AI agents have the capacity to steal and sell my health records or banking information if they want to? Technocratic AI is the largest imposing threat to security at the moment, and the era of intentional lack of AI regulation has to end. Our representatives and our courts must protect us and regulate these companies now, before AI cyber crime is a regular thing.

Okay I'm just going to say it - I think that the subculture of queers embracing circus/jester aesthetics should really look into what that life was like for not only queer folk, but disabled and bipoc folk as well. We were exploited, abused, enslaved and displayed for public curiosity under the smokescreen of whimsy. Before reclamation can happen there needs to be an understanding of freakshow culture and what it truly meant for marginalized people.

Tales from ‘85 is Mileven propaganda. The showrunners are overwriting established canon to trivialize Byler and retroactively manufacture a Mileven romance arc because they deliberately filled the original show with Byler proof and now have no option other than to retcon and backpedal.

First, they literally deleted Will from the Rink-O-Mania scene in the end credits to make it look like Milkvan had such an adorable, romantic day at the roller park. (Sorry, Duffers, but we watched the episode. We know what actually happened).

Then they retconned Snow Ball to make it appear like Mike and El were so in love at that time. The photo of Finn and Millie might have been taken BTS, but it was included in a scene in season 4, which makes it canon, which, in turn makes the one in the Tales from ‘85 a direct retcon. They’re rewriting history to make it all about Mileven and their “young love”.

But seriously, copying the Sorcerer scene?! They’re taking away one of the biggest Byler moments and giving it to Milkvan. It would be laughable if it wasn’t so cruel and insulting.

Like, what do you mean you need to erase Mike and Will’s “platonic friendship” and copy (aka steal) monumental scenes between the “best friends” just to establish a Milkvan “romance”?

All this is doing is confirming our suspicions that either Byler was indeed “in the cards” until something (divorcegate/cutgate/cowardice) happened, or the Duffers deliberately queerbaited their audience with Byler instead of focusing on their “lead couple” and simply refuse to admit or apologize for it now.

Don’t watch Tales of ‘85 hoping for Miwi content, fellow Bylers. They’re going to make Will suffer and break our hearts all over again.

IMO we should actually take this super seriously, because while the overall poor quality of S5 writing/directing will stand out in people’s memories, potentially even stunting the Duffers’ careers, bringing up how fantastic these episodes are could boost Dichter’s career. Comparing these astounding episodes to the overall flop of ST could actually give us more Paul Dichter art in the future. Talking highly of Paul will help his career.
