Hello! Headcanons of Shen as a father, just for you!
Shen as a father headcanons
Shen is a strict father. He will require his children to be very disciplined, and will not hesitate to punish their misbehavior.
That, however, doesn’t mean he doesn’t love them - he would to everything to keep his children safe, and keeping them disciplined is his way of protecting them.
He will train his children in combat, and have very high expectations of them - perhaps higher than he would have of his other students. It’s because he wishes his children to become competent warriors, in hopes they will someday be ready to take the mantle of Eye of Twilight after him.
Shen will also expect his children to follow the Kinkou values - if they decide to abandon them, he will be disappointed but understanding - his love for them is stronger than the wish to have them as members of the Kinkou Order. However, if they openly turn against the Order, Shen will most certainly be heartbroken and blame himself for repeating his father’s mistakes.
But he’s not all serious Kinkou business - Shen will gladly play-fight with his kids, and may or may not let them go scot-free from some light pranks they may come up with.
