Our local supermarket recently had small plastic tubs of cotton candy for sale. I love cotton candy and usually shop while hungry, so I've bought some. More importantly, it is prominently labeled in French: barbe à papa. So, my partner commented on the fact that I had bought a second tub today despite not yet finishing my first tub, and I cried out to him, "I can't help it! I love Daddy's Beard!" This caused him to shake his head and walk away, muttering how that sounded so wrong.
