🔵 BLINK OF AN EYE 🔵 ••• And just like that, Diego makes his 1st trip around the sun. From a 6 lb 4 oz potato to a 22 lb kettlebell, this boy’s growth has been a beautiful thing to witness. I’m eternally grateful for his good health, his chubby thighs, the little chompers growing out of his gums, those big brown eyes, and his contagious laugh. Lucy and I wake everyday blessed to see his smiling face in the morning, & our job is to make sure we keep that smile on his face for years to come. Some days are easy. Some days are difficult. 🔵 HERE AND NOW 🔵 ____________________________________________ I never thought I’d be one of those parents who do things like celebrate monthly anniversaries of their children’s birth, but once you have a kid, you soon realize how amazing it is to make it this far. Today marks Diego’s 2 month milestone, and I’m happier than a kid in a candy store to have a son who’s made it to this point. He’s a healthy little chunkster, gaining more weight by the day, communicating with us more, smiling every day, shitting and pissing more than an old man who has no control over his bowel movements, and I love it all. Like all parents, Lucy and I have had our fair share of sleepless nights and overwhelming days, but it’s all worth it when we hold this little sack of potatoes in our arms. This kid will be a year old before I know it, so I’ll focus on the here and now, while he’s still just 12 lbs with minimal neck control and big brown eyes soaking in the world around him.
