Today marks 20 years since my dad went home to the Lord. Featured here are pictures of my dad doing what he loves in his younger days. I think it can quite clearly be seen where this aviation and military enthusiast got some of his inspiration from 😆. However, I am utterly awful with musical instruments 😬 unlike my dad who relished playing the harmonica and ukulele. Apparently, he was really good with the bass harmonica.😮 Grateful for all the memories we have of him and how his legacy lives on in us in unique ways. Glad he contributed his growing up stories to the National Archives (@nationalarchivessg) in an Oral History project back in 1993. Now in digital format, we are able to retrieve his recollections and keep for posterity a good part of my family history. They are available for access to anyone who has an interest in learning more about what life was like in Singapore during the 1930s to 1980s.
