he walked along the streets as the sun began to set, on his way to retrieve his little sister from her own musical journey he once took around her age as well. it was her first lesson today after thinking long and hard about what instrument she wanted to play. in all honesty, daewon thought his little sister would take after him and try to learn the drums. if not, he thought the guitar would catch her interest. however, his little sister was just a tad bit different from him. like him, she listened to all types of music ranging from pop to alternative, korean to english to instrumental. he found it just a bit odd that his sister seemed to prefer classical music out of everything which sparked her inspiration to take up.. the cello.
daewon and his parents found it very cute. it was rather entertaining to see such a little six year old girl try and play an instrument that was almost her size, but he was not the one to say anything. his parents always used to poke fun at him for looking so tiny behind the drum set, now its her turn.
ironically, his parents did manage to find a cello teacher in the area which surprised him to a certain extent. on his way there, he wondered how little daeeun did with her cello, hoping she did not burst anyone’s eardrums yet. he smiled at the thought before going up the steps to pick her up. once rung the doorbell and the door opened, he immediately saw his little sister smiling at him while struggling to keep her cello from touching the ground.
❛ daeeunnie.. ❜ he called out to her quietly as he signaled her to come over next to him, helping her out with the big cello case. ❛ did you have a good time? ❜ he gave his sister a soft smile before patting her head, hoping that her headstrong personality was not too much trouble towards her teacher.
❛ she wasn’t too much trouble, was she? ❜ he said quietly, looking over to her teacher in order to see if she heard him. however, he couldn’t shake off the feeling that .. she seemed rather .. familiar.
