it was rare that shiloh was the one to take care of a drunken body. usually, it was his own frame that was being held upwards by kind soul as he staggered through the streets. but it was clear who had handled the consumption of alcohol better; the girl in his arms began slurring before he felt tipsy. it didn’t take them long to reach the door of her apartment, and despite the curious looks from nosey neighbors he led them both inside with ease. as if he had been there multiple times before. part of him quietly wishes he had. he shuts those out with the click of the door, and steadies her as she leads them to her room. once frame falls to the bed is when purest side of a cold heart begins to beat. he works on getting her shoes off, tying her hair back out of her face after complaints of feeling hot, and carefully wiping away the make up that remained on her face. though he wanted to place her in clothes more comforting, he refrained. not wanting her to wake up the next morning with wrong idea to how she ended up in that state.
it was just after he had pulled the covers up over her chest that her small plea fell from her lips; tired hand coming up to hold tightly onto his. and he didn’t pull away; surprised as he was when he didn’t. body lowered to the ground beside her as he looked at her. her eyes opening just a little at his silence, and he could only give a small nod and sheepish smile. “ i’ll stay, just go to sleep hm? ” he urged, reassuring pat given to the back of her hand. but he never stayed. he sat, his hand being held by hers and the sound of her breathing throwing off the pestering thoughts asking what he was doing. but the sun had began to make its arrival, and he knew he needed to take his leave. as quiet as she had slipped into his thoughts when he was away from her, he slipped out of her room.
