Process images of my Oblivion Daedric Axe: Step1: I made a pattern of the one of the axe blades, drew around it 4 times on eva foam, then cut it out then glued two sides together so they were double the thickness. I then sanded the blade edges. Step2: I covered the top on the wooden pole with pipe insulator and sanded down one edge at an angle. I also primed the 2 axe blades with a mixture of PVA glue and paint primer. Step3: Using craft foam I drew and cut out the detailing and stuck it round the pipe insulation. Using lots of glue stick the two sides to the pole. Step4: I cut out 4 pieces (2 for each side) of craft and covered them in worbla. These act like a bridge to the 2 blades and also holds them together. Then I did this again on the blade faces, cutting out 4 more larger shapes out of craft foam and then covering them in worbla and sticking them down. Step5: To add the fine detail I used Relief Paste and drew free hand patterns and symbols all other the 2 sides making sure they mirrored each other. Step6: I then spray painted the blades gun metal silver, then dry brushed black paint onto the detailing to age it. Step7: To finish it off I used black wire tape and wrapped it round the wooden handle and at the end using the scraps of worbla left over I heated and rolled them together to form a twisted spike, I did the same for the top of the axe.
