Have a dump of the nil. I redesigned their armor and it's not any easier to draw but perhaps more satisfying for me to look at which is what matters the most.
look at my wet string of an elf
I have quite a lot of owed art to do this month but I'm kinda losing my mind over here and thinking "I gotta make the blorbo real" while making them in a 3D software
Hi wow it’s been a minute. Finally got a design for Ruma’s armor down >:] and I’m very happy with it
I’ve been getting more and more comfortable with spending more time on my art to add more details and I think this is a good show of it (hopefully)
If you’re curious about design stuff I’ll leave headcanons below
I mean obv the armor is Daedric. Ruma acts as the bridge between Dagon’s Daedric army and Mankar’s Mythic Dawn agents. For it she’s adopted lots of Daedric mannerisms and aesthetics, with the armor being a display of camaraderie.
Notably, those horns and codpiece are pretty significant to dremora culture. Dremora care very highly for horns, so by applying some to her own helmet, Ruma has a way of mirroring that culture as a show of kinship.
The codpiece is a bit more complicated. Originally, Myriad dremora wore them for show as this kind of gaudy but harmless display of sexuality. Then, Coldharbour dremora adopted the idea into their own armor, but specifically bastardized it into a display of power and dominance, with only a select few dremora being able to posses such codpieces. To counter this, both Deadlands and Attribution’s Share dremora further bastardized the use of the codpiece by giving it to anyone and everyone—which negated the Coldharbour idea of dominance over others—and encouraged flashiness to further corrupt the more serious tone Coldharbour dremora had towards their codpieces. By the end of the Third Era, codpieces have become a staple of dremora culture anywhere where there are dremora to wear them, with little qualms about who does or doesn’t possess one (outside of Coldharbour). Being that she works with Deadlands dremora, Ruma took a codpiece for herself without issue.
Also I gave it to her bc I think irl historical codpieces are funny and wanted to challenge myself to draw one convincingly not-stupid-looking. Lmao
B.B is not thrilled with the cold and is pretty irritable when he's in certain parts in Skyrim. "I feel icicles forming in my nose, don't talk to me like that".
I've been playing elder scrolls games lately and I made B.B in Skyrim. On console, anniversary edition with creation club stuff, so I'm not adding any mods.
Even tho B.B is a deer/wolf furry thang, I've been playing him as a Breton (male Breton player voice sounds gay so it's a plus for me!) AND I'm doing a Necromancer-adjacent build.
Though I still rely on using a war axe and archery, cause I got the Bow of Shadows and I like using it to sneak past things.
I did try to play the "Live Another Life" mod, I chose the left for dead option, but I realized how many things you're locked out of if you're not the Dragonborn, so I'm playing the game normally and avoiding the main quest lol.
Oh yeah I broke my own rule about never drawing complex armor, but I got the daedric mail armor and I think it's so coooooool but the chances of me drawing it again after this are very... VERY..... slim.
