An edit I made for @daemats / @dutyuntodeath. His boys from the series that he’s gotten me into. Cal from Red Queen, Dorian from Throne of Glass, Rhysand from A Court of Thorns and Roses, and Elias from Ember in the Ashes. I love these boys a lot, too.

She was silent, in thought, a finger absently stroking the ring on her other hand. Each move she made here was intentional, well, mostly intentional. It was a rather fine line to walk- reveling in her power and position here and carrying out Hybern’s will. Though, she liked to think that her bringing these High Lords to heel was his will as well as her own. And, as long as she did that, what did he care what she did?

Her eyes lifted when she heard someone enter the room. A slow grin crossed those painted blood-red lips.  ❝Rhysand,❞ she purred upon seeing her favorite toy. And oh what  a toy he was, what a beautiful distraction. ❝And what have you been up, hmmm?❞

“ i was looking everywhere for you. ” a hand rests on the bannister of the stairs that lead back down into the town house, and she simply stands there, eyes lingering on him before she takes in the exquisite view. she starts with the city, with the lights that she’s grown so fond of, then turns to the night sky, lingering on the stars that are a multitude of colors, leaving her breathless. it’s the artist in her that pauses, that wonders just how she can paint something like that before she turns back to her HIGH LORD. her mate. and then she’s suddenly at his side, curling up against him, cheek resting against his chest. “ for a second, i even forgot to check up here. ”

Pesters you about cal

I mean...the meme is other muses, and you play Cal, so it really doesn’t count...XD

In all seriousness, though.

Riona loves Cal. Before the events of RQ, she finds it very easy to just...be at peace with Cal. It doesn’t even have anything to do with the fact that he’s the prince. She couldn’t care less that he was the prince. She just loves that she can be with him. She loves that he can let himself be soft and let his own guard down around her. She loves that they have a pretty peaceful life together.

And then the events of RQ happened. 

And now they’re on the run, and she’s pregnant, and their life is chaos and never knowing if they’re gonna survive or not. 

(I still need to read KC and figure out exactly how this goes down, but. Y’know. Moose likes angst.)

“ You know, you could’ve given me another day or two. ” She’s still stumbling as she pushes forward, and she doesn’t even think to close the door behind her. Instead she’s fascinated by their surroundings, by the world outside that had been forgotten by her in the last three months. “ What do you want? ” She cocks her head, intending for the movement to be predatory, something that Nesta particularly excels at, but it comes off more humorous if anything.

“Tell me what to do,“ he said. “Tell me what to do to help you.” Rhys kept the plate beyond reach. He spoke again, and as if the words tumbling out loosened his grip on his power, talons of smoke curled over his fingers and great wings of shadow spread from his back. “Months and months, and you’re still a ghost. Does no one there ask what the hell is happening? Does your High Lord simply not care?” He did care. Tamlin did care. Perhaps too much. “He’s giving me space to sort it out,” I said, with enough of a bite that I barely recognized, my voice. "Let me help you,“ Rhys said. "We went through enough Under the Mountain—-” I flinched. "She wins,“ Rhys breathed. "That bitch wins if you let yourself fall apart.”

a grimace. “ amren &&. varian were caught doing WHAT ? ” she blinks once, twice. then reaches for the bottle of wine that mor had left on the coffee table, bottle stopper no where in sight. “ please tell me it was azriel who caught them and no one else. ” had it been anyone else, they likely would’ve been thrown in the SIDRA.
